Two were charged yesterday with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, following their arrest around 2 am by the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office following an investigation on Barnyard Road. Served with warrants yesterday were 22-year-old Christopher Paul “Chris” McCord of 125 Barnyard Road, Gray Court and 28-year-old Jennifer Diane Simmons. She was booked with an address on Church Hill Circle, Greenville, but was noted to be residing at 125 Barnyard Road in the Gray Court area. Both Mr. McCord and Ms. Simmons are charged with Manufacture of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine and Illegal Disposal of Methamphetamine Waste.
Officer Nick Moye states in warrants that an investigation of Deputy Devin Hodges indicates that McCord and Simmons were in possession of items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine Monday at 125 Barnyard Road, Gray Court. Further warrants state that each was in possession of less than one gram of methamphetamine and that they illegally disposed of methamphetamine waste Monday at 125 Barnyard Road without authority to do so.
A $50,000 bond was set on the Manufacturing Methamphetamine charge. Jennifer Diane Simmons and Chris McCord remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning with total bonds set at $75,000.
